BE CERTAIN THAT YOUR VOTE COUNTS:
Find your Polling Place and see who is on the ballot
To check the status of your mail-in or absentee ballot (both application and ballot)
All mail-in or absentee ballots may be delivered by mail or in person BY THE VOTER ONLY to any of the designated Additional Election Offices
Follow directions for completion of mail-in or absentee ballot carefully
Ballot Tracker for absentee ballots: Mail-in/Absentee ballots may be hand-delivered to the Elections Office or mailed.
Please follow directions in completing and submitting your ballot:
Your ballot goes into a Secrecy Envelope which goes into a Declaration Envelope
You must put your COMPLETED BALLOT in the SECRECY Envelope.
You must SIGN YOUR NAME AND DATE on the DECLARATION Envelope where indicated.
The SEALED Secrecy Envelope then goes into the Declaration Envelope.
If you applied for a mail-in ballot, but decide to vote in person:
Bring the UNCOMPLETED ballot with you along with the ENVELOPES
Turn the documents over to the Judge of Elections and sign an affidavit that you have not yet voted by any means.
You will then be allowed to vote at the voting machine.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS NO STRAIGHT PARTY VOTING IN THIS ELECTION. You will have to vote for each and every candidate of choice.
Persons handing out literature or acting in support of a candidate must be at least ten (10) feet from the entrance to the polling place.
All main-in and absentee ballots must be POSTMARKED by 8PM on November 2, 2021. If you do not follow these steps, your vote may not be counted.:
Mark your ballot according to the directions.
Place the marked ballot inside the the secrecy envelope which then must be placed inside the ballot return envelope.
Sign the declaration
Mail the completed ballot or take the ballot to a designated drop-off (Department of Elections or Additional Election Offices). Please note that the drop-off must be done by the voter.
Additional Election Offices: (link will take you to list of sites and full explanation) On September 17, the Board of Elections approved the opening of additional offices leading up to the November 3 election. Each office will provide opportunity for over-the-counter voting, and the return of voted ballots to a fully-staffed, secure office.
